Kesler Woodward received his B.A in art from Davidson College. in Davidson, N.C . in 1973 and his M.F.A. in painting and printmaking from Idaho State University in 1977. He has been an Alaska resident since 1977. serving as Curator of Visual Arts at the Alaska State Museum and as Artistic Director of the Visual Arts Center of Alaska before moving to Fairbanks in 1981 He is currently an associate professor of art at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Solo exhibits to his credit include the University of Alaska Museum (1985). Alaska State Museum (1985). Anchorage Museum of History and Art (1983.1991). and public and commercial galleries and museums throughout the U.S Juried and invitational exhibitions including his work range from Alaska to Brazil (1982) and Russia (1992). Woodward's work is included in all major public art collections in Alaska and in public. corporate and private collections on both coasts of the U S. He received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Alaska State Council on the Arts in 1981.
