Dear Colonel Perrenot;

At a meeting held on Thursday, August 8, 2002 the Kivalina IRA Council made a decision to accept your invitation to participate in the development of the Delong Mountain Terminal EIS as Cooperating Agency.

We will continue to actively participate as needed and will be represented by our Tribal Administrator Colleen E. Koenig who will oversee the implementation of our roles and responsibilities outlined in the Cooperating Agency Agreement, which is yet to be negotiated.

We thank you for this opportunity. We are sure that the expertise we offer in providing certain information will be beneficial to the Federal decision makers and the public as well as for the Army Corps of Engineers to meet certain requirements of CEQ.
