The Negotiation
Process
The negotiation process for comprehensive
land claims proceed through the following stages:
- Framework Agreement
- Agreement-in-Principle
- Final Agreement
- Implementation
This process is followed for all parties
concerned in negotiations. These usually occur between federal, provincial, and
first nation governments over issues such as land rights or self government.
